Microwave Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 4 qt popped corn
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 14 c white Karo syrup
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp baking soda

Directions

  1. Place popcorn in large paper bag
  2. Mix the next 4 ingredients in a 2-quart bowl
  3. Place in microwave for 1 12 minutes
  4. Take out and stir
  5. Pour in baking soda
  6. Put back in microwave for 2 minutes on High
  7. Take out and pour over popcorn in bag
  8. Shake it then turn upside-down and put bag in microwave for 1 12 minutes Take it out shake and put back in microwave again for 1 12 minutes
  9. Put in bowl or cookie sheet to cool
