Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
  • few shakes nutmeg

Directions

  1. Mix sugar and cornstarch.
  2. Add water gradually, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from fire and add butter, lemon juice and nutmeg.
  5. This is great over bread pudding.
