Italian Cream Cake

Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 12 c Crisco
- 2 c sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 2 c plain flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 small can coconut
- 12 c chopped nuts I use black walnuts
- 5 egg whites
Directions
- Cream butter sugar and Crisco Add egg yolks one at a time Add soda to milk then alternately with dry ingredients Fold in egg whites vanilla nuts and coconut Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 Makes 3 layers
