Hush Puppies

Ingredients

• 1 12 c self-rising cornmeal
• 1 c self-rising flour
• 1 medium onion chopped finely
• 1 egg
• 1 Tbsp sugar
• 1 c milk

Directions

1. Combine cornmeal flour onion and sugar
2. Add egg
3. Gradually beat in milk
4. Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil
5. I use a Fry Baby and fry 4 hush puppies at a time
6. They flip over when brown on one side
7. If you have more than needed pop the remaining in a freezer bag and freeze
8. Just heat when needed
