Georgia Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 1 c dark Karo syrup
- 12 c butter
- 1 c whole or chopped pecans
- 12 c sugar
- 3 eggs
- 12 tsp vanilla
- 1 ready to bake pie shell
Directions
- Beat eggs until foamy
- Add sugar syrup melted butter and vanilla beat until mixture thickens
- Add nuts and pour into a pie shell
- Bake for 10 minutes at 450 then reduce heat to 325 and bake until filling is firm approximately 35 to 40 minutes
