Georgia Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 c dark Karo syrup
  • 12 c butter
  • 1 c whole or chopped pecans
  • 12 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 12 tsp vanilla
  • 1 ready to bake pie shell

Directions

  1. Beat eggs until foamy
  2. Add sugar syrup melted butter and vanilla beat until mixture thickens
  3. Add nuts and pour into a pie shell
  4. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 then reduce heat to 325 and bake until filling is firm approximately 35 to 40 minutes
