Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 2 c. sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1/2 c. shortening
• 1/2 c. cold coffee (add 1 tsp. soda to the coffee)
• 1/2 c. cocoa
• 2 c. flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 c. boiling water

Directions

1. Cream sugar and shortening.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, and blend.
3. Add coffee.
4. Then add dry ingredients.
5. Lastly add hot water.
6. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
