Buttermilk Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Cream sugar and shortening.
  2. Beat in eggs 1 at a time.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together.
  4. Blend in alternating with buttermilk. Beat well.
  5. Add almond and vanilla.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan for 1 hour at 350°.
