Baked Cabbage

Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage about 2 12 lb
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 18 tsp pepper
- 3 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 c hot milk
- 1 c grated Cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Butter a 12 x 8-inch shallow baking dish Discard outer leaves from cabbage
- Wash head and cut into 12 wedges
- Put 1 cup water in large skillet Bring to a boil Add 1 teaspoon salt and the cabbage Cook over medium heat covered 10 minutes Drain well
- Arrange cabbage in prepared baking dish Sprinkle with mixture of flour sugar 1 teaspoon salt and the pepper
- Dot with butter
- Pour hot milk over cabbage Sprinkle with cheese
- Bake uncovered 35 minutes Makes 8 servings
