Autumn Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 4 c water
  • 1 c chopped carrots
  • 1 c diced celery
  • 1 c cubed potatoes
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp bottled brown bouquet sauce
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 18 tsp basil
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan cook and stir meat until brown drain off fat
  2. Cook and stir onion with meat until onion is tender
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients except tomatoes
  4. Heat to boiling reduce heat cover and simmer 20 minutes
  5. Add tomatoes cover and simmer 10 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender
