Ingredients

  • 34 c butter at room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 12 c shredded coconut
  • 1 c walnuts chopped
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 12 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c flour
  • 8 oz apricot preserves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cream the butter sugar egg and vanilla
  3. Mix in salt flour and coconut Stir well
  4. Reserve 34 cup for topping
  5. Spread the rest in a greased 9 x 11-inch pan Spread apricot preserves over mixture and sprinkle nuts over preserves
  6. Crumble reserved 34 cup dough over top Bake 30 minutes Cool and cut into 24 bars
