Apricot Bars

Ingredients
- 34 c butter at room temperature
- 1 egg
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 12 c shredded coconut
- 1 c walnuts chopped
- 1 c sugar
- 1 12 tsp vanilla
- 1 c flour
- 8 oz apricot preserves
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Cream the butter sugar egg and vanilla
- Mix in salt flour and coconut Stir well
- Reserve 34 cup for topping
- Spread the rest in a greased 9 x 11-inch pan Spread apricot preserves over mixture and sprinkle nuts over preserves
- Crumble reserved 34 cup dough over top Bake 30 minutes Cool and cut into 24 bars
